A Farewell Tour of the 2018-2020 In Colors: Lovely Lipstick Dressed to Impress Thanks Card - Kylie's International Blog Highlights
Hello crafty people! How was your weekend? Today for you I have a special treat. It's time again for my annual "Farewell Tour"of the retiring In Colors. For the next 5 weeks I will be showcasing one of the retiring 2018-2020 In Colors each week starting this week with Lovely Lipstick. Plus also today I am taking part in Kylie's International Blog Highlights again and here is my card.....
I will admit that I am truly going to miss Lovely Lipstick, because it is my fave color of pink. I recently got the Dressed to Impressed bundle and I am truly loving it and knew it would be perfect for this card. I started with making the watercolor background by using the Aqua Painters to brush on some of the Lovely Lipstick ink. I set this aside to dry.
I then stamped and colored the flowers using the Stampin' Blends. I die cut them out along with the back piece. I also die cut the "Thanks" and glued all the pieces down. I wound some of the Rose Metallic thread around my fingers and placed it underneath this layer and popped the whole piece up with Dimensionals onto the watercolored layer. I placed this layer onto a piece of the Best Dressed DSP (Designer Series Paper) and then onto a Lovely Lipstick card base.
For the inside I kept it pretty simple by stamping some leaves in the bottom corner and a heartfelt sentiment. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, I have listed them all down below. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store.
