Parcels & Petals Love Card - CASE the Catalog Friday

Image
Hey crafty people!!! It's Friday and I have another CASE the Catalog for you. What is that you ask??? Well, each week I pick a project out of one of the current Stampin' Up! catalogs and recreate it and present it each Friday for you. Here is this week's card.....
Pg. 27 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog
I decided to pick a pretty simple card this week to recreate. It is such a fun technique to make your own backgrounds. You will also notice I changes out the colors. I started with my Rococo Rose card base that I stamped on in the same ink color. There is no rhyme or reason to how you do it, just start stamping making sure you slightly turn your stamp to get a more random design.
Next, I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 1"x 4" and stamped my sentiment onto it using Rich Razzleberry. I  used my scissors to banner cut the one end. Now, for the next part if you don't own the dies you could leave it out or use a different one but for mine I di…

A Big Thank You Simple Thank You Card

Welcome crafty people! It's almost the weekend. I know we are mostly still quarantined, but do you have any special plans? My husband and I usually go for a little hike on the weekends so I'm looking forward to that. It's nothing hilly or long, but a nice walk and along the trail there is a bald eagle pair in a nest that is neat to see. Let's get to today's card.....

Hi everyone! How are you all holding up? Our Governor announced yesterday that all schools are out for the rest of the school year. Even though we don't have kids at home anymore a lot of our neighbors do and I can see how stressed the parents are. I'm helping by putting together little crafting kits for the kids to do and they are loving them too. Let's get onto today's card.....

Hello crafty people. Are you still under quarantine? Our schools are still out until April 13th. Parisian Love Amour Card

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Are you hanging in there? So far, so good here. We do live in a pretty rural area so that's keeping us safe, but still taking all the precautions. Yesterday we went to the store for an elderly neighbor who has severe lung issues and definitely shouldn't leave his house. I have decided to make cards for a local nursing home since they are on complete lockdown and family or friends can't visit. I thought it would bring some sunshine to them all. Let's get onto today's card.....

This is actually a pretty simple card that looks like it is so much harder to make then it is.  I only used one color of cardstock and ink pad. I created the background by first taking the ink pad and rubbing it onto the inside top of the embossing folder. You can make it as light or dark as you want. Then put your piece of cardstock into it and run it through your die cutting machine. And the fun part is every piece will be different. Tip...alway…

Hi crafty people! Did you have a good weekend? We are still under quarantine here and it was announce that kids will be out of school for an additional 2 weeks, which means that after this week they will be out for 2 more weeks. Our school year ends the Friday before Memorial Day so there isn't much left. Thank goodness we don't have any kids at home anymore, but I feel sorry for the parents that still have to work. Hopefully, this all comes to an end soon. Let's get on to today's card.....

Hello crafty people! How has your week been going? I know a lot of us are social distancing ourselves right now to protect not only ourselves but also our families from COVID-19. Hello everyone! How has your weekend gone? This post was supposed to go up last Friday but didn't for some reason so here it is today. I got to spend yesterday with my son, daughter in law and my almost 11 month old grandson. We went to Flagstaff to have my son's car fixed and spent the day there. It was a lot of fun! I am so looking forward to Spring, though we still have some pretty cold nights my rose bushes have determined that it is time to bloom. So in honor of them I decided to CASE some Spring cards from the 2020 Mini catalog. Here are my cards.....

Hello crafty people! How is your week going so far? I have been fighting a sore throat. I had something call Quinsy and Tonsillitis when I was 9 and it was pretty traumatic so I never have liked getting sore throats since then. I'm hoping this passes quick. I'm hardly ever sick as we don't have school kids at home anymore and I don't work outside of the home either. I always get my flu shot each year though just in case. Let's get onto today's card.....

Power of Hope Sale-A-Bration Bundle Card - CASE'ing The SAB Catalog

Hi crafty people!!! After a month and a half hiatus I'm finally back to blogging and my Stampin' Up! crafting. Life has not been easy. At the beginning of December I developed pretty bad depression for some unknown reason. Now I do have depression that goes along with my back and neck issues that is just situational, but this was something different and I lost all desire to craft. This really sucks right before the Holidays. Then while on vacation in California, my husband broke a tooth and ended up in the hospital for 4 days with an abscess and infection. He is doing much better now and we are getting the tooth fixed. So it has been a roller coaster ride. Let's get onto today's card.....

Under My Umbrella Friend Card - Kylie's Training Blog Hop

Hey crafty people! How is your New Year going so far? We were in California on vacation visiting family as we do every year. Then the next day my husband ended up in hospital with an abscess in his face. He spent the next 4 days there as they drained it and pumped him full of antibiotics. We had to extend our vacation a few extra days. It has completely healed up now and he is doing so much better.
Each month I get the privilege of  being able to participate in a fun blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demos from around the world to bring you some inspiration and motivation to get crafting. This month with the release of the new Mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogs I decided to use a new stamp/punch set. Here is my card.....
