Well Said Welcome Baby Card - CASE the Catalog Friday

Hey everyone and welcome to my blog for another CASE the Catalog Friday!!! How has your week gone? Any plans for this weekend? Nothing too exciting here. I have a few chores I need to get done, but I think I'm going to also work on my craft room. Things have been piling up lately and I need to tame the chaos. Let's get to today's card.....

Pg. 47 of the 2020-21 Annual Catalog

I fell in love with this card the minute I saw it in the catalog. And believe it or not, it's not that hard to make. I started with watercoloring the Fluid Paper with the Seaside Spray reinker. I used the reinker because it gives a darker color. When I got the look I liked I set it aside to dry. Next, I die cut the large star and the little ones come from the "swirl" die in the set. I stamped "Baby" all over the large star. I also die cut the word "baby" in both the Silver Foil and Misty Moonlight cardstock. I glued the silver onto of the blue and then glued it to my star.

Once the watercoloring was dry I went ahead with the embossing. I took a small amount of the Shimmery Embossing paste and placed it onto a piece of wax paper. I mixed in a few drops of the Seaside Spray reinker until I got the color I wanted. Using the polka dot mask that I placed over my watercolor background and using a palette knife I applied the paste to my paper. Now I didn't cover the whole piece as I wanted it to look random like the original. Once I got the look I liked I set it aside again to dry. I stamped my sentiment, cut it apart and glued it to the large star too. I attached the watercolor layer onto my Seaside Spray card base. I used Dimensionals to pop the star onto the card front. Using glue I attached the small star pieces around the card front. I tied a piece of White Crinkled ribbon into a bow and attached with a glue dot.

For the inside I kept it pretty simple by gluing down some of the star pieces from the die cuts in opposite corners. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, I have listed them all down below. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope I have inspired you to try something crafty today! Have a great day.

Hugs,
