Geared Up Garage Masculine Birthday Card
Hello crafty people!!! How was your weekend? Well, I didn't get anything done that I wanted because I spent 5 hours on Saturday in the ER with a kidney stone. Let me tell you this is not fun. I've had them before, with both my pregnancy's. Now that's really not fun. They ran all their tests and sent me home with meds and orders to take it easy for a few days. I did, however, get this card done for my brother's birthday this week and here it is.....
My brother loves cars and working on them so I knew the Geared Up Garage stamp set and Garage Gears die set was perfect for his card. I started with stamping the car and using the Stampin' Blends to color it. I die cut it out and set it aside. I also die cut the gears using the Silver Foil.
I cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock and embossed it using the Hammered Metal 3D folder. I also cut a piece of Pacific Point cardstock and using the Pacific Point ink I stamped the sentiment at an angle across the cardstock. I glued this piece onto the embossed Basic Black piece and then glued the whole layer onto my Thick Whisper White card base. I glued the gears down and then used Dimensionals to pop up my car.
For the inside I kept it pretty simple by stamping my sentiment and then some "smoke" in the bottom corner along with the nuts and then again in the upper opposite corner. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, I have listed them all down below. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope I have inspired you to try something crafty today! Have a great day.
