Image
Hi crafty people! Well we are midweek. Are you all still holding in there? Our temps have gone from early Spring straight to Summer in a matter of a week. We have been and will continue to be in the upper 80's. We usually don't turn our home AC on until June 1st, but yesterday it came on for the first time this year. I'm hoping that this is just a little heat wave and we are back to normal soon. How is your weather? Let's get onto today's card.....

My goal here is to inspire you to look through the catalogs not only as a catalog but also as an idea book full of lots of inspiration. Here is today's card..... Pg. 38 of the 2020 Mini Catalog    With Mother's Day coming up quickly I decided to make this a Mother's Day card instead of a birthday card. I also used an entirely different stamp and die set too. I really liked the design of this card and thought that the tulips would be a perfect sub. I started with stamping the larger tulip and leaves and punching them out. I stamped the smaller tulips and fussy cut them out.    I embossed the background with the Scripty 3D folder and then die cut a circle in it. I them die cut a larger circle in Whisper White and stamped my sentiment onto it and glued it into placed. I then plac

Well, each week I pick a project out of one of the current Stampin' Up! catalogs and recreate it and present it each Friday for you. Here is this week's card..... Pg. 27 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog      I decided to pick a pretty simple card this week to recreate. It is such a fun technique to make your own backgrounds. You will also notice I changes out the colors. I started with my Rococo Rose card base that I stamped on in the same ink color. There is no rhyme or reason to how you do it, just start stamping making sure you slightly turn your stamp to get a more random design.      Next, I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 1"x 4" and stamped my sentiment onto it using Rich Razzleberry. I  used my scissors to banner cut the one end. Now, for the next part if you don't own the dies you could leave it out or use a different one but f
