March Paper Pumpkin

Image
Hey everyone! How are you doing?  For today, I decided I wanted to show you Stampin' Up!'s March Paper Pumpkin kit. Stampin' Up! keeps it a surprise, to everyone, the contents and name of the kit until it ships and you get it in your hands. You get everything you need in their signature orange box to complete the project including a photopolymer stamp set, one to two inks spots that don't repeat for 12 months, pre-cut cardstock, embellishments, instructions, a clear D sized block (if it is your first Paper Pumpkin), envelopes if this is a card kit, and adhesive. All you need to bring are a pair of scissors, maybe a group of friends and their Paper Pumpkins, and some uninterruptible time for you to create a fabulous project. There are usually around 8 things to make that can range from cards to gift bags and such.       The name of this month's kit was Bunny Buddies. It creates 9 bunny mini cards with envelopes and 9 cute as can be bunny gift pouches. After

Carousel Horse Card - GDP Challenge

Hello again, I am so sorry for the break in my posts, but my husband and I took a short vacation to the "Valley" (Phoenix) to pick my brother up from the airport to stay with us for a couple weeks. I hope you are all having a great week so far. Last week, Global Design Project had a Theme Challenge that I so wanted to participate in. I created my card and everything, but just did not have the time to get it onto my blog. So I am putting it on today for you, because I believe anything created can be inspiration for someone out there.      The theme for this challenge was Amusement Park and of course the first thing, and I'm sure for a lot of people too, that came to my mind was Carousel Birthday from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. In this suite you get a gorgeous stamp set, 6"x 6" paper pack, a cardstock pack, an embellishment pack, and a set of two markers to choose and purchase from. Also, in the Up & Away Framelits are two dies that

Kylie Bertucci's "Aim For Alaska" Blog Hop - A Little Foxy

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a great day and are enjoying the blog hop so far.  You are here today with Julie Kight from the United States and I am bringing you a card that I made for Kylie Betucci's "Aim For Alaska" Blog Hop. "Aim for Alaska" is a Facebook support group  run  by Kylie Bertucci  for Stampin' Up! demonstrators around the globe that want to increase and improve their business to earn the Stampin' Up! incentive trip. Each year Stampin' Up! offers an incentive trip for the top demonstrators to go for and earn. This year we are earning to go on an Alaskan cruise in the summer of 2018. For those that earned the incentive trip last year, they are going to Thailand this coming Summer!      I am learning so much in this Facebook support group of demonstrators. There is such a wide range of us from all over the globe. Some of the demonstrators in the group have already earned the trip. I haven't yet, but I am

SUO Challenge-Things That Fly

Image
Hello again, it has been a looooong week. You ever have one of those? Everything seemed to come out of nowhere and attack you from all sides. This week it has been a combination of more pain and my depression. Yuck!! I'm not sure if a lot of you know that I suffer from a condition called Degenerative Disc Disease plus a few other back ailments. And one thing that goes hand in hand with chronic pain is depression. So to sum it up I had a bad pain week so my depression was high too. What fun!! Well, enough of that, on to my post.      Today for you I have a very beautiful card that I made for the Stampin' Up! Only blog challenge. This challenge was themed #170- Things That Fly. I knew a lot of people would choose the butterflies or the new dragonflies but I wanted something a little different. So I got out my Annual catalog and went through it page by page and made note of all the flying things. I finally decided on the flamingo from the Pop of Paradise stamp set. Next

Global Designer Project - Sketch Challenge

Image
Hello! Here I am again with another card for the Global Design Project Challenge! I absolutely LOVE these challenges. They have been so much fun to do, are fairly easy, and give me content for my blog. Lol. Plus, I love making cards, or anything crafty. I keeps me busy during the day and allows me to escape the daily pain that surrounds me. For this week's challenge we have been given a sketch. It is a pretty simple sketch too. I love simple! The problem with simple is sometimes they are hardest cards to create. Here is the sketch:      I started my card with a 5-1/2"x 8-1/5" piece of Very Vanilla. I folded this in half to create my A2 sized card. I then cut out a piece of DSP (Designer Series Paper) from the 6"x 6" stack of Playful Palette. I cut this piece to 1-1/2"x 5-1/4". I got out a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and cut this to 4"x 5-1/4". Then I got out a piece of the FREE Sale-a-Bration Glimmer paper in Sweet Sugarplu

Retiring 2015-2017 In-Colors

Image
Hi everyone and welcome back! Well, it is that time of year. When all Stampin' Up! Demonstrators start thinking about the new Annual catalog coming soon and with that brings the thoughts of getting 5 new In-Colors as well. With that idea also comes the thought that when 5 new In-Colors come in, 5 old In-Colors must retire too.       Today, instead of a new project I thought I would let you know that it is time to order all the 2015-2017 In Color items, especially the re-inkers. Here are the colors that are retiring:      So don't put off getting the colors that you have loved these past two years. If you wait to the last minute, they will be all gone. In my experience, the re-inkers and stamp pads go first and this can happen at any time. SO DON"T WAIT. Click here to go to my store and get the colors you love and stock up! Here are all the retiring products: Only 15 days left for Sale-a-Bration!      That's right! Just a little over 2 w

Succulents-Because of You...Card

Image
Hi again, and welcome to my blog! I attend an online support group on Facebook for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators and this month our leader has challenged us with a new goal. This new challenge is to have a goal right now to blog everyday one of these weeks in March and I am doing mine this week. I started it yesterday with my card for the Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights challenge. Sometimes it can be hard to think of something to blog about everyday, but if you throw in challenges and product highlights you can have plenty to type about. So, on to today's project.      Today, I have for you a new card I created. I had just gotten the So Succulent Bundle last week and could not wait to use it. The DSP is some of the most beautiful paper I have seen with Stampin' Up!. At first I wasn't to keen on getting it. Then I started seeing demonstrators using it and I just fell in love. Doesn't always happen! I started with a A2 sized card base made of Whi

Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights Challenge-March - VOTING CLOSED!

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! I hope you are all doing great. Today, I have a new card for you. I found this great new blog run by Kylie Bertucci, an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator who lives in Australia. She is absolutely amazing! Once a month she holds a challenge called, "Kylie Bertucci's  International Highlights" where she gives us a theme and we make a project around that theme. Then, we post it on our blogs. Next, you get to vote for your faves! So I am asking for your vote! Please vote for my card  here .      Our theme this month was to use the stamp set All Things  Thanks from the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog. I started my card with a piece of Peekaboo Peach cardstock cut to 5-1/2"x 8-1/2" and then folded it in half. Next, I took a piece of Fruit Stand DSP and cut it to 4"x 5-1/4" and glued it down to the cardstock base. Now I wanted to make a banner on my card so I got one of the gold specialty pape
