Global Design Project Challenge - CASE The Designer Challenge
Hi and welcome to my blog! Today for you I have another card that I did for the Global Design Project Blog. I am really loving this site! They are an amazing group of crafters that are incredibly talented. The challenges are so fun too. This weeks challenge was to C.A.S.E (copy & share everything) one of the designer's card creations. We could use the design, the stamp set, the colors anything from their card that we wanted. And did I mention whose card we were casing?
It is Kylie Bertucci's! A Platinum Elite Stampin' Up! demonstrator from Australia. She is #1 in Australia as well. She is absolutely amazing and an all around incredible person. She devotes so much of her time training not only her team, but also training other demonstrators all over the globe. Here is her blog to learn more about her. Well, lets get on with what I created.
I decided to use the layout of the card for the inspiration of my
card. I went through the recent stamp sets that have come out from the Occasions catalog to chose which one I wanted. I went with the Lift Me Up stamp set and Thinlits. I really love this set as the hot air balloons in it are very beautiful. The one very detailed Thinlit of the large hot air balloon is quite stunning!
Next, I knew that Stampin' Up! had included a DSP set called Carried Away that coordinated perfectly with this set as well, but it is only available as a Sale-a-Bration item. So, in order to get it you will need to place an order
of $50 or more before tax & shipping to get it. And, as a little added pressure Sale-a-Bration ends on March 31st!! So hurry and get your orders in here.
I started with a basic A2 size card out of Peekaboo Peach cardstock and cut a piece of Glimmer Mint Macaron paper to 3-1/4"x 5-1/2" and glued it down to the front of the card a little offset. Then I cut a piece of the DSP to 3"x 5-1/2" and glued it on top of the
Glimmer Paper. I wanted to use the piece of DSP that had clouds on it to look like my hot air balloons are high in the sky.
Next, I stamped my clouds, two hot air balloons, and my sentiment. Then I die cut out everything I needed including the large hot air balloon out of Watermelon Wonder cardstock. I laid all the pieces out on my card and decided where I wanted everything to go. Then, once the final layout was complete I put it all down with either my Snail
adhesive or Stampin' Dimensionals. The last thing I put down was my sentiment and the little cloud on top. Doesn't it look perfect!! I love it. I also did a little something on the inside of the card. I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 4"x 5-1/4". I took a piece of the Watermelon Wonder striped washi from the Tasty Treats Washi set and wrapped it around on one side. Then I stamped the smaller hot air balloon in Mint Macaron on the other side and glued the whole piece down on the inside of the card. Here are the items I used. Just click on the ones you want and it will take you to my store to purchase.
I mentioned earlier that two of the items I used on this card are from Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-Bration event currently going on, but only until March 31st. There are more then just these two items to chose from too. In fact, there happen to be 15 items to chose from! With every $50 you spend in my store before tax & shipping you get to pick one of these items for FREE! This means that if you had a $250 order you get to chose 5 FREE items. PLUS, because you placed a $250 order you get an additional $25 in Hostess Rewards! How amazing is this! Gather orders from family and friends to get your order total higher to qualify for more rewards.
Also during Sale-a-Bration, if you decide to join my team you will receive two additional stamps sets of your choice FREE with your Starter Kit. My personnel suggestion would be to get the two most expensive stamp sets that you love this way and use your Starter Kit for ink, paper, and such. Now this only lasts until March 31st too so if you love everything Stampin' Up! and would love to receive a discount up to 25% off all your future orders then go here. Remember that the Starter Kit only costs $99 for $125 worth of your choice of product. And you get free shipping!
Well, that is it for today. Please feel free to leave me a comment about my card or if you have any questions about Stampin' Up! please contact me here. Have a great day!
