First Frost Christmas Card - Day 7 of 12 Days of Christmas

Image
Hello everyone! How is you all doing? This past Tuesday I went to my son and daughter-in-law's ultrasound and I am proud to say that I have a grandson coming in April!!! His name will be Logan Tremain. The middle name comes from my grandfather's middle name. My son was very close to his great-grandfather. I see a lot of blue in the future! Well onto today's project. Here we are half way through my 12 Days of Christmas event with Day 6's card.....      I wanted to make an non-typical Christmas card using the First Frost bundle. I also wanted to do some watercoloring with the red/green coloring. I just used the Aqua Painters and the inks Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide. I also used some of the Frost White Shimmer paint on top of the watercoloring to add more shimmer. I used a piece of the Frosted Bouquet DSP (Designer Series Paper) behind the watercolor paper.      I really wanted to keep this as a Christmas card so I used mostly Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide

I have been loving doing these hops as it allows people to see a bunch of fantastic projects from demonstrators around the globe. He is truly enjoying this Holiday season and that is how I wanted to recipient of this card to feel. I used some of the Frosted White Shimmer paint on his hat and pom pom to make them shine.      For the background buffalo plaid I used the new Buffalo Plaid stamp in Cherry Cobbler then I took the Basic Black Marker and a ruler and just drew lines through the white areas of the design. Very easy to do and the color combos are endless. I also used
