Global Design Project #88 - CASE The Designer Challenge

Image
Hello everyone! How is your weekend? It has been a nice one for me. Most of my pain has been mild lately, so I am able to get more things done with my crafting and around my home. You wouldn't think that a house with just two people would get too dirty, but when you add in six cats...they are like having kids!!! Constantly having to vacuum, pick the trash back up, clean litter boxes, hairballs, and make sure they have food and water. But of course we love our fur babies and will try to do everything for them. How about you...any pets?      Today for you I have my project for this weeks Global Design Project Challenge, and it is a CASE The Designer one this week. These are fun challenges because you can use anything from the original, the stamp set, paper, layout, colors, etc. You name it and use it. I decided to use the stamp set that Shawn used and that was Rose Wonder by Stampin' Up!.      Now this stamp set does have Framelits that go with it, but I didn't u

New Products From The New 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I can't wait until Saturday. I love Saturdays, because it is the one day a week where I get to spend the entire day and evening in my craft room! All the other days I head downstairs to the family room at 7pm to have dinner and spend the evening with my husband watching TV (usually I don't watch. I take my laptop down and this is when I usually write my blog posts). When you are an empty nester you get to spend this much time doing what you like. And when you combined the fact that I am disabled on top of that and don't work outside the home, I get to spend A LOT of time crafting or such. You would think I would be overwhelmed with all this time I have and cards would be flying out my ears, but right now I am in kind of a slump (lost my crafty mojo I think) and crafting just doesn't sound fun at times. Plus the fact that I suffer with chronic pain and a few other aliments. I push myself a lot. It really helps with the new catalog coming out and all the new product

Aim for Alaska 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! New Catalog Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great week so far. Today I have a special post for you...an Aim for Alaska new Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog Sneak Peek Blog Hop! That's right. You will get to see a whole bunch of blogs with new product from the new catalog! Now as some of you know I suffer from some pretty severe back issues along with a few other things and so lately while I have been going on a reducing my meds roller coaster I have lost a lot of my crafty mojo. That is why I love new catalog time!! With all the new product we get to play with, and a lot of inspiration out there among the other demonstrators, it has helped so much.      Speaking of new product...that is exactly what I used to make my mom her Mother's Day card. I used the Delightful Daisy Suite from the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Catalog. I got to work with this product at OnStage in April which was a blast and I ordered it in my Product Premiere Purchase order, a speci

CASE-ing Kylie Bertucci

Hello and welcome everyone! I have a VERY special blog post for you today. Kylie Bertucci is   Stampin' Up!'s  #1 Demonstrator in Australia and she is incredible. She helps not only her own "Crazy Crafters" team, but also demonstrators around the world with her weekly Facebook Live videos and more. Last week on Kylie's Facebook Live Chat with her customers, demonstrators, and all else who want to join, she shared this amazing card that she made Live with us. She remade a card using new colors from another card that she had made the week before for the Be Inspired Blog Hop. It came out looking so wonderful and I loved the color combination. Later last week I came across some digital paper with a color combination I instantly fell in love with and suddenly thought of Kylie's card and knew the two would go great together, so here it is.      I used the color combination of Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, and Whisper White. The first

Hi everyone!! Welcome to the weekend! I hope that all of yours has started out great. I haven't been feeling to well and today I had to go to the doctors to find out what is going on with my tongue. Yep, you read that right...my tongue. Since December I have been having pain in it that feels like I have scalded my tongue with hot chocolate. It is so annoying and makes it very difficult to eat a lot of different foods. Mainly anything spicy, acidic, or with vinegar. Also I have very bad dry mouth all the time. We did think it was Thrush a couple months ago but it hasn't gone away with treatment. So today I learned that I have Burning Mouth Syndrome...what fun!!! The worst part is there is no cure and no really good medical treatment for it. YUCK! And even more fun is it is very rare. So for now I have to eat bland food and see a specialist. They have found that Botox is working really well with it and if you are thinking to yourself, "Aren't those injections?"

Global Design Project #086-Sketch Challenge

Hello again...how have you all been? I hope all you mothers out there are having a great Mother's Day today and enjoying a day all to yourself. My boys have both wished me a Happy Mother's Day today, and I will call my mom in just a little bit. I did make her a card along with my two sister-in-laws which I will post this week. I think they turned out pretty cute. I made a goal starting May 1st to send out a handmade card to all my family members for the various holidays and birthdays that happen in the year. I'm a little late with my Mother's Day cards but they are going in the mail tomorrow for sure.      Speaking of handmade cards, I have a new card for you to see today for the Global Design Project Challenge. It is also for one of my niece's birthdays. This week on GDP the challenge is a sketch. I'm not sure if I like sketches too much. To me I always have a harder time coming up with an idea when faced with a sketch. I prefer color or theme challenge

Eastern Palace Bundles-Stampin' Up! Early 2017-2018 Catalog Release

Hi again! How have you all been? I went and saw my doctor this week and he wants to do a sleep study on me to see if my Sleep Apnea is really affecting my sleeping at night because all I want to do during the day is sleep. Not great when you want to create and be crafty! So we will see how that goes.      Today for you I have a couple cards I made using the new Stampin' Up! Bundle Eastern Palace. It has been released early from the new catalog coming June 1st, in two exciting bundles for you to purchase. These bundles are amazing! And with each one you will get FREE PRODUCT! What is better then that!      My first card I made with the very traditional colors that match the DSP( Designer Series Paper) in the suite. What I really love about this suite is all the GOLD! It is so pretty and sparkly. I used the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies to make the element on the card along with the Layering Circle Dies. They pretty much go hand in hand. If you don't have the La

Hello again, it has been a little break since my last post. I was in California for a vacation with family for a bit and between the constant going everywhere with family and such I just did not have a chance to post anything!      I do, however, have a new card today for you inspired by the current challenge over at Global Design Project . This week is a color challenge, which are my fave! I have loved the retiring 2015-2017 In-Colors these past two years and am surely going to miss them, especially my two faves, Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron. I did have a special place in my heart too for Tip Top Taupe as well!            We were supposed to choose just only three of the retiring In-Colors for our projects, but I used all five! Like Kylie said it was very hard to just choose three. I decided to use all five colors with the Lift Me Up stamp set and Up & Away Thinlits by Stampin' Up!. The Lift Me Up Bundle is retiring but the stamp set and Thinlits are not.
