Sending Smiles Card: New SU 2018-2020 In-Colors!

Welcome back to my blog! I have another card today using all the new Stampin' Up! 2018-2020 In-Colors. I was trying to come up with a way to use all the new colors on one card to show you and I finally remembered that the hot air balloon from the Lift Me Up stamp and Up and Away die set was perfect because it used exactly 5 colors to make up the largest balloon. These colors are so beautiful and I love their names.

A little tip when putting the 5 backing pieces onto the large hot air balloon piece is take a small piece of scrap paper and place some removable adhesive onto it then place the 5 backing pieces onto it in their order. The glue will hold the pieces in place perfectly as you then glue the top piece into place. When the glue is set just take the scrap piece of paper off and then place your beautiful hot air balloon on your card. I also decided that I didn't want the basket in silver foil so I die cut the basket using the Wood Textures DSP that is carrying ov…

Happy Birthday Gorgeous SU Card: Using New 2018-2020 In-Colors!

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great start to your weekend. I have been having so much fun creating with some of the new Stampin' Up! colors! I am sure by now you have heard or seen that Stampin' Up! did a Color Revamp. They like to do this about every 5-6 years to introduce new colors as colors trend in society. There are 16 new and returning colors...which of course means 16 old colors left. Also, every year SU introduces 5 new In-Colors that will be around for 2 years at a time. This years In-Colors are AMAZING! They are perfect colors of the rainbow. I used 2 of these new colors in my card today.

This stamp set, along with it's Thinlit, was introduced last year in the Annual Catalog, but was carried over to this years catalog that will be release on June 1st. It is such a great stamp set as you can throw a handmade birthday card together in just minutes because of the Happy Birthday Thinlit. I made my own pattern paper with stamps from the set. Some …

I'm Back...Again!

Boy has it been awhile! So much has happened the last few months...mainly my back. As some of you know that I suffer from some extreme back issues and last year for some reason my pain level spiked for some unknown reason, which put my life into a complete mess. If you don't know or have not read my profile I have several back issues including, but definitely not limited to, Degenerative Disc Disease, Spinal Stenosis, and Sciatica. Last Fall, I started getting extreme sharp pain every time I even slightly bent over so I went to my Dr and after a CT scan it was discovered that when I fell two years ago I caused my disc on the right side to start over growing causing nerves to be pinched and all the new pain. So now I am waiting to see about getting some more epidural shots. BUT the most life stressing thing that happened was at the end of Nov I had a standard normal routine mammogram. A week later I got a call from the hospital that they needed me to come in for a 3D mammogra…

13 Projects for Fall/Halloween-Project #2: Halloween Pumpkin Card

Hello and welcome back to my blog and my 13 Projects for Fall/ Halloween event. Today I have a really cute card for you with a bunch of pumpkins telling you"Thank You." I came up with this idea the minute I saw this stamp set in the new 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog. This catalog will be available in just a few days, Sept 1st, to all customers! I highly suggest purchasing this bundle because not only is it good for Halloween, but also Fall and Thanksgiving as well. And who just doesn't love a pumpkin?
I first started with using the Wood Crate Framelits to die cut the crate out from the Wood DSP (Designer Series Paper) stack. I only needed the front of the crate so I positioned the die over the paper as not to waste any and cut out anything unnecessary. I then stamped a bunch of the pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set and die cut them as well.

Now this is pretty cool. You will notice when you get your catalog or view it on my Stampin' Up! s…

Aim for Alaska Stampin' Up! New 2017 Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Welcome and hello everyone! Today I have a special post for Aim for Alaska Blog Hop Sneak Peak from the new Stampin' Up! 2017 Holiday Catalog! That's right. You will get to see a whole bunch of blog posts from varies members of the Aim for Alaska group with new product from the new catalog! Now, I am sure if you have been strolling Pinterest by now you have seen a few of the new stamp sets, punches, dies, and DSP (Designer Series Paper). Aren't they pretty? Especially the new Painted Harvest Bundle! That has been a huge hit in the demonstrator world.

But today I decided to use one of the other stamp sets that I just fell in love with...the Merry Cafe stamp. And the best part is it coordinates with the Coffee Cups Framelits! So no fussy cutting! There is a little something for every holiday season on this stamp set too, but I especially loved the Pumpkin Spice Latte stamp. It is a cult following for this specialty drink. I have had it only once, but I fell…
