Farewell Tour of the 2018-2020 In Colors: Call Me Clover Piece of Cake Birthday Card

Welcome crafty people to my blog and my Farewell Tour of the 2018-2020 In Colors. This week I will be focusing on the color Call Me Clover. Last week I mentioned that Pineapple Punch was my least used color, well Call Me Clover would have to be my second least used color in the bunch. Even though I love all colors, green would probably be the one I reach for the least. Let's get onto today's card.....

Watercoloring has to be one of my favorite techniques. I used three of the retiring In Colors for my background. I started with the bottom color and worked up blending each color into each other. I set this aside to dry and stamped the cake, cake platter, and candles. I punched the first two out and then fussy cut the candles and glued these three pieces together.

I attached the watercolor layer to my card base with the Tear n Tape and next glued a Pearlized Doily in the lower corner. I die cut out a circle of Vellum and glued this down. I took a piece of the matching grosgrain ribbon and using glue dots I wound it in an "S" shape and placed the cake piece on top with Dimensionals. Finally, I put some rhinestones on the card.

For the inside I kept it pretty simple by stamping a sentiment and using the candle stamp I stamped a border along the bottom.
