Hallows Night Magic Happy Halloween Card - Week 1 of My 13 Weeks of Halloween Wednesday
Welcome crafty people!!! We are halfway through the week...how has it been? Our weather has been warm, but not like our heat wave last week. I'm a little worried about the big fire in Southern California right now as that is where I grew up and where most of my family still lives. Luckily, unlike 27 years ago, the fire is moving northeast and away from everything. A big thanks to all the firefighting personnel fighting all the fires right now. Please be safe. Let's get onto today's card.....
For the next 13 weeks before Halloween I will be showcasing a fun project here on my blog and that is what I have today. I had so much fun creating this card. My fave holiday is Halloween...I love the decorating, costumes, scary movies, EVERYTHING! For my card I first started by stamping the little spider several times on the three different colors of cardstock. Then I started just randomly cutting them with the Paper Trimmer until I have several strips. I cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock the size I wanted the strip piece to be and just started gluing down each one, alternating as I went. Once done I cut the excess off.
Next, I layered this piece onto another piece Basic Black cardstock. I wrapped some of the Metallic Mesh ribbon around it and then glued it down to my card base. I heat embossed my sentiment onto another piece of Basic Black cardstock and then flagged one end. I put this on the card with Dimensionals. I stamped and die cut the larger spider and put it down on the sentiment piece using Dimensionals too. I placed some of the Iridescent Pearls in one corner.
For the inside I kept it pretty simple by stamping several spiders in opposite corners in the different colors. Don't forget to come back next Wed for another fun Halloween project. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, I have listed them all down below. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope I have inspired you to try something crafty today! Have a great day.
