Hallows Night Magic Macabre Halloween Card - Week 5 of My 13 Weeks of Halloween Wednesday
Welcome everyone!!! Now I know it's not Wednesday, but due to a huge migraine I was unable to post this then so I decided to share it today. Have you ever noticed that there are many different types of themes and color combos for Halloween? You can have cute, with bright colors or you can go all scary with dark colors. Today I chose a Victorian macabre style. Let's get to my card.....
I was inspired by the colors of the DSP (Designer Series Paper) that goes with this suite, though I didn't actually use any on this card. I started with stamping the sentiment piece, coloring it with my Stmapin' Blends and then die cutting it out. I used my Stamparatus to stamp the actual greeting so that it would be straight inside the outline.
Next, I embossed the Basic Black layer with the Cobweb embossing folder. I layered this onto some Silver Foil and then wrapped a piece of the Metallic Mesh around it. I glued this whole piece to my Blackberry Bliss card base. I added the sentiment piece on with Dimensionals. I die cut some of the bats using the Black Glitter paper and placed them around the card front. I also added three Iridescent Pearls to the lower right.
For the inside I kept it pretty simple by stamping the smaller bat and spider in opposite corners. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, I have listed them all down below. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope I have inspired you to try something crafty today! Have a great day.
