Royal Peacock Proud of You Card

Welcome everyone! It is Hump Day! The way I feel I would think it was already Friday. These last two days have been exhausting! Our new fridge we got last July has two ice makers, one in the upper French door area and one in the lower freezer section. Well, the upper one started freezing over causing it not being able to drop ice. So I called the manufacturer because it was still under it's original warranty. Now I know I live in a small area with not much around us, but when the manufacture decides to just exchange our whole fridge for a new one, I was floored. They couldn't find anyone in my area to fix the ice maker! So yesterday Lowes showed up with a brand new fridge and took my barely used fridge away. It's the exact same model, which I did want. But boy was it a pain to take everything out, move all the furniture, take the front door off, and have a clear path to get to the kitchen. I'm tired now. I will admit that I do love a company that stands behind their product!
Well, on to my card. Today for you I am using the new stamp set Royal Peacock. Here is my card.....
I fell in love with this stamp set the moment I saw it at OnStage! The colors and design are just GORGEOUS! And the DSP (Designer Series Paper) and Foil are completely stunning. I kept this a little more simple while letting the peacock shine.

For the background I tried a new to me technique. I took my stamp pad and ran it across the inside top of the embossing folder first. Then I put my paper in and ran it through my machine and this is what you get. I recommend picking a lighter paper and a complimentary darker ink. For this I used a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock and Pretty Peacock ink.

One of the reasons I love this stamp set is you can either just stamp the whole peacock stamp by itself or you can add the overlay like I did and heat emboss with the Gold Embossing Powder. I tried to get a good pic of the embossing.

For the inside I stayed simple with an encouraging sentiment and a flower stamp in the corner. Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and if you would like any of the items I have shown in this blog post just click on any of the links below. And if have any question about anything just click here! I hope you come back tomorrow for another great project! Have a good day!!
Hugs,

Julie
