Ride With Me Happy Birthday Card
Hi crafty people! Welcome back to my blog. Did you have a great weekend? I was doing good until Sunday when my back starting to give me some issues. I had to be very cautious with everything I did as one wrong move and out my back goes and I'm bed ridden for at least a week, but usually more. I really hate when this happens, because I can't do anything and just getting up to go to the bathroom is a chore and takes every ounce of strength.
On to better things. I have been wanting to use this stamp set since I saw at OnStage. My dream car has always been a truck and the older the better so I had to get this set. I will be using the dies that make the 3D truck later this week, but for today here is my card.....
The most fun part of this stamp set is you can make the truck any color you want. I chose purple because this is my husband's fave color and even though his birthday isn't until January 1st I'll just put it away for his special day. You can tell, a little, that I watercolored the background very lightly with Coastal Cabana ink. It gives a bit more color to the stark whiteness.
For the wheels I just die cut some Black cardstock and then used a 1/4 hand punch to punch out two Silver Foil hubcaps and glued them into place. Now I know there isn't a die that cuts out the truck, but it is very easy to fussy cut and then I used my Exacto to cut out the window piece.

For the inside I kept it simple but just stamping a cute sentiment and stamped the balloons in one corner several times. I also layered the Whisper White piece onto a piece of Gorgeous Grape...this gives the inside a bit more color. Do you know someone who would love to get this card for a birthday?
