To A Wild Rose Color Inspiration Hello Card
Hello again crafty people! One of my fave ways to get inspiration for a project is color combos. It surrounds of everywhere, the internet, magazines, the clothes we wear, are only a few of the what we see everyday. This is a perfect way to start if you are ever in a need for some crafty mojo. Here is my card.....
My color inspiration came from a page in my planner. I saw the flower, the lower one the right, and the stamp set To A Wild Rose popped in and I knew I had my next card idea.
I started with some watercoloring to get the same look as the flowers on my inspiration piece. I decided I wanted to use Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight and then took my Aqua Painter to blend the two together in the middle on the Watercolor paper. Let the paper completely dry before you proceed with any stamping.
I loved how the flower came out with the watercoloring and then stamping in black ink. It kind of reminds me of my teenage years growing up in the 80's, lol. I used the Scripty 3D folder to add some texture to the background layer.
I normally do more then one watercoloring when I craft so that if I decide I can use them all now or some at a later date. As you can see I used one to die cut this beautiful piece that I put on the inside to tie in with the colors from the front. One tip is never be afraid to use dark colors for card bases. All you need to do is simply cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to place inside so you can still write your message.
Thanks so much for coming to my blog today to check out my card. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used today to make this card just click on the items down below. And if you have any questions on how I did this technique please contact me here. Don't let color scare you or stop you from creating. Make it a challenge to yourself to make a project with the next color combo you see. Have a great day and I hope you come back tomorrow to see my next project!
