Twinkle Little Star Baby Card Using Embossing Paste
Hi crafty people! Did you have a good weekend and if you are a father did you have a happy Father's Day??? I texted both of my boys and called my dad. This is both of my boys first Father's Day and for my older son it was the first time he got to meet his son, so it was extra special for him. Other then that I spent the weekend getting some things organized and getting my blog schedule done so I know what is going up for the next 2 weeks. I'm on my team leader's design team and last week I presented my projects using the Little Twinkle stamp set and today's post is one of those cards. Here it is.....
This stamp set returned from last years Annual Catalog and I'm really happy it did, as I love it. There is also the Twinkle Punch that goes with it that you can purchase separately. I took some embossing paste and 1 drop of the ink refill and mixed it together. My tip.....start with one drop and work up to the color you want, that way you don't have to add more embossing paste because it goes a long way.
I planned in my mind where I wanted the paste to go so kept it only in this area of the cardstock. When I was done I immediately washed the mask and palette knife, because the paste dries like concrete and will be very hard to get off. Then I set it aside to dry. I also heat embossed the sentiment in silver. The piece of vellum is cut with the new Stitched Nested Label dies. It provides a softness against the background.
The inside stays simple with just some stars in opposite corners and a sentiment as well. I think this would make a beautiful gift to someone who just got a new addition to the family.
