Above the Clouds Card GDP #195 Theme Challenge

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? I have started a fun project...I am working on painting my filing cabinet. It's black and doesn't match my white and pink craft room, so today I am going to spray painting it. I just need to decide if I want it to be a light or dark pink. I use it to hold all my Stampin' Up! cardstock so it stays out and away from dust and light. It stays under my desk and my printer sits on top of it so it is easy for me to reach while I'm sitting in my desk chair. And I have had it forever so it needs an upgrade!
On to today's card...I love participating in challenges, especially the Global Design Project every now and then. This week is a theme challenge...Balloons. So I decided to use the Above the Clouds Bundle. Here is my card.....

Whenever I see hot air balloons I think of the many times, when we still lived in Southern California, we would go down to Temecula just to see the Balloon Glow.....which is so beautiful to see when all the hot air balloons light up at night. Though I have never been in one I would love to one day.
I decided to use some embossing paste mixed with a drop of the Seaside Spray ink refill to create the background. I die cut this after the embossing paste dried completely. Then I just layered the hot air balloons that I created just by stamping full strength first then I stamped off once before stamping the solid inside. I did the same thing with the baskets too. I completed the front with some ribbon, sequins, and my sentiment in the bottom corner.

I kept the inside very simple with another sentiment and some hot air balloons floating around with the same colors from the front. Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and please come back on Thursday to see what fun project I make next. Also, please visit GDP to see all the other wonderful projects using this theme. Have a great day!

Hugs,

Julie
