Lovely Lily Pad Happy Birthday Card - CASE the Catalog Friday Sale-A-Bration Edition

Hello crafty people! How has your week gone? It's still raining here. It's not consistent in any way but it is nice to listen too. We really do need the rain though and I welcome it. As you know it is CASE the Catalog Friday so let's get on to today's card.....

Pg. 4 of the Sale-A-Bration Catalog
My favorite thing about this card is the blue gradient of the die cuts on front. It is so eye catching too. Now the original card was done on a note card size base, but I wanted to make it full card size so I decided to add a layer of Calypso Coral for an added pop of color. I die cut the background piece in four different colors and glued them down.

For the lily, since these particular stamps are reversible so I first stamped the outline then turned the stamp over and first stamping off once then stamping over the outline. Now since this is a reverse of the outline it doesn't line up exactly, but I really like the look when a little white is showing. I did the same thing for the lily pad. I placed a Vellum circle behind and stamped and die cut out the sentiment.

For the inside I added another layer of Calypso Coral and stamped the smaller lily in the lower corner. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used in today's card, I have them all listed below for you. Just click on the pics to be taken to my online store.
Thanks so much for coming to my blog today to see what I have CASE'd from the Stampin' Up! catalogs. Be sure to come back on Monday to see my next project as I take part in a fun blog hop with demos from around the world. Have a great weekend!!!
