Bonanza Buddies Tropical Happy Birthday Card

Hello crafty people! How is your week going so far? I have been fighting a sore throat. I had something call Quinsy and Tonsillitis when I was 9 and it was pretty traumatic so I never have liked getting sore throats since then. I'm hoping this passes quick. I'm hardly ever sick as we don't have school kids at home anymore and I don't work outside of the home either. I always get my flu shot each year though just in case. Let's get onto today's card.....

When I saw this cute little toucan I wanted to match him with the new Tropical Oasis DSP (Designer Series Paper) and make a birthday card. I think this paper is so beautiful, I love the colors in it. I started with stamping the little toucan and coloring his beak with the Mango Melody Stampin' Blends combo pack. I also stamped the hat and pom pom, die cut them all out and glued it all together.
I heat embossed my happy birthday sentiment onto a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and then die cut it out with the Stitched Nested dies. It is so much easier to do it this way when you want an image in a particular place. I also die cut one of the palm fronds from the Tropical dies in Pear Pizzazz. I placed it behind my toucan and placed this whole piece onto my card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
For the inside I simple just stamped my sentiment and that was it to allow plenty of room for a birthday message. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, I have them all listed below. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store.
Thanks so much for coming to my blog today and I hope I have inspired you to create something too. have a great day!
Hugs,

Julie
