Hi crafty people! I am back again with another card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. Each month several Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world present projects for you to vote on and chose which is your fave. If our card makes the top 10 we will get to make another project to be a part of a blog hop at the end of the month. Here is my card.....
I decided when I saw the Tropical Oasis DSP (Designer Series Paper) it would work perfectly with the Tropical Chic stamp set and dies. I first created the Crumb Cake layer by taking the Basket Weave embossing folder and rubbing the Crumb Cake ink pad over the rougher side, being careful not to damage your ink pad. Next, I took my piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and placed it inside of the folder and embossed it. The ink will imprint onto the cardstock giving you this amazing effect!
I heat embossed my sentiment onto a piece of Terracotta Tile cardstock and die cut it out with the Stitched Shape dies. Always stamp or heat emboss first before you die cut in case it comes out crooked. This way you look like a pro getting it straight every time! I took another piece of the DSP and placed it down one side and wrapped some Linen Twine around. I die cut a couple of the leaves to place on and added some of the matching Faceted Dots in the upper corner.
For the inside, I kept it simple with my stamped sentiment and some more palm leaves in the bottom corner.
