Butterfly Gala Birthday Card - CASE the Catalog Friday (Sunday)
Hello crafty people! How is your weekend going so far??? Mine has been really busy...actually the past several days have been really busy! That is the main reason why this post is going up today instead of last Friday. I had the card finished and edited, but I never had a chance to sit down and type this out. I'm really glad it is finally posted as this was a card I made for my sister-in-laws birthday last week. Here is my card.....
I'm having a really fun time finding ideas in the catalogs for me to recreate! The whole thing is just one big idea and inspiration book. Here is the design idea I used for this card. You can find it on pg. 46 of the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.
I knew I wanted to use different colors for my card, mainly in the blue family. So I went through all the cardstock and decided on the blues I wanted to use. I also had to work with the items I had brought with me on vacation. Now I did make some changes to this design because there was a few pieces I didn't have like the purple ribbon and Silver Metallic Thread. In fact I didn't use any ribbon at all and added a leaf die cut to one side.
I stamped the butterflies then proceeded to color them with the Stampin' Blends in all the blue hues I had picked out before. With me needing a birthday card I kept the sentiment. I also embossed the Whisper White background instead of doing the stamping too. I added some sequins and Faceted Dots around the front.
For the inside I used the sentiments from the Well Said stamps and stamped another butterfly in the corner. I really hope she likes her card as I am giving it to her today.
