Free As A Bird Friendship Card

   Hello crafty people! Did you have a good weekend? I spent most of Saturday with my daughter-in-law and my grandson while they were here to do some laundry. I can't believe how big he is getting...he is 4-1/2 months old and weights almost 17 lbs!!! He is growing so fast! I can remember when his daddy was that little, and I miss it. Time truly does go by in a blink of the eye. On to my card.....

     I so love the Bird Ballad DSP (Designer Series Paper). On a few of the pieces you can fussy cut out several pictures like the one I did here. The best tip I can give for fussy cutting is while you are cutting is to turn the paper, not the scissors.....you get straighter cuts and also make sure you have scissors that have points on the end like the Paper Snips from Stampin' Up!. This helps greatly.
     I cut the outside scalloped edge off the Pearlized Doily because I didn't like the look of it next to the Pool Party scalloped circle. I know it is hard to tell in the pics, but I did emboss the Whisper White layer with the Subtle Embossing Folder for some added texture. I also wrapped some of the Scalloped Lace Trim on the side for added softness.

     For the inside I just added a meaningful sentiment and some flowers in one corner and leaves in the other. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, I have listed them all below. Just click on any pic to be taken to my online store.

Here is my card.....      I was inspired to make this card from another card marker. I have always loved the Little Twinkle stamp set and knew that this was more then just for babies. By combining it with the Well Said Bundle I'm telling my loved one that our love was written in the stars.      I heat embossed the background first then watercolored it.
