Gather Together Well Wishes Card - CASE The Catalog Friday Holiday Edition
Hey crafty people! It's Friday!!! Let the weekend begin! Any fun plans? I'm going to work on my craft room. I had a dresser in my room that my parents bought when I was born and I decided to give it to my grandson Logan. So now I have a ton of crafty things that were housed in the dresser now all over my floor. I need to go through it all and find somewhere for it to go and then move a table into the dresser's old spot. The table was given to me by my mom and was in the house she grew up in. It's called a "Gathering Table" and was used to put the food on that was just picked from the garden. I love it. It kind of goes with my card today. Here it is.....
It's Case the Catalog Friday and for a special treat I picked something from the soon to be released Holiday catalog! One of the tips they share with us about this die set is to spritz the cardstock before you die cut the individual leaves because it creates the darken look you can see in my pics. For the large leaf I used the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to create the look. I do want to tell you that when you stamp on the wooden pieces it shows up much lighter.....I had to stamp mine 3 times to darken it. Also set it aside to dry for a few minutes or use the Heat Tool on the low setting to dry faster.
Now since they don't show you the inside of any of the cards I just went with my own design and stamped the large leaf in two corners and added a sentiment. Now in the original this sentiment was used on the front.....I just changed it up some which is the best thing about CASE'ing a project.
