Painted Harvest Joy Holiday Christmas Card

Hello everyone! It's Monday and the last day of September...wow that went by fast! I can't believe there are only 3 months left of the year. One exciting thing is tomorrow I get to decorate our home for Halloween! I have already put my Halloween wreath on our front door and I'm so ready to put everything else out as right now it is sitting in my hallway because I only wanted to get it out once. Have you started doing any seasonal decorating? Let's get on to today's card.....

Now I know that Christmas is still 86 days away as of the posting of this post, but when I was making the Painted Harvest Thankful card last Monday I had the thought that these stamps would make a really pretty poinsettia-looking flower so I did. I used a combo of Poppy Parade and Real Red to make my flowers and Garden Green for the leaves. I googled the colors of poinsettias to make sure it was as close as I could get.

I wanted the center of these flowers to be a little different so I decided to heat emboss with Gold Embossing powder. It really gives a beautiful touch to the card. For the sentiment I used one from the So Many Stars stamp set/ I used the Gold Glimmer Paper to bring in some more gold and to give the sentiment some sparkle.

For the inside I again stamped the inside with the flowers and leaves as on the front. I also added another sentiment from the So Many Stars stamp set. If you would like to purchase any of the items I have used to create this card I have them all listed below, just click on any of them to be taken to my online store.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today. If you have any questions on my project or anything Stampin' up! please feel free to contact me here. Have a great day!!

Hugs,

Julie
