For The Win Floating Frame Soccer Sport Birthday Card
Hey everyone! How is your week going so far? I am so happy that our weather has finally changed for the cooler. I can't wait to start putting out all my Halloween decorations! Halloween is my husband's and mine's fave holiday!!! I have a cute spooky tree that goes out in front of our home. Do you like Halloween? What is your favorite holiday? Let's get onto my card.....
I have mentioned before that I am on my team leader's design team and the stamp set I had this month was For The Win, so I thought I would share one of the cards I made with a really fun technique.....floating frame. You have probably seen this kind of card done before, in fact I did another card using this technique back in May. So when I saw all the sports balls I know I wanted to try it again.
I decided on the soccer ball for my frame and stamped several of them out in different colors. Now you could fussy cut out all the balls, but if you happen to own a 1-1/4" circle punch it becomes so much easier. The only thing you need that Stampin' Up! doesn't sale is the Glad Press n' Seal. This holds the balls in place while you make your card.
One tip with the Press n' Seal is it's meant to be used on some type of a container so it can be a little too sticky for paper, so if you find it pealing your paper take your Heat Tool on the first setting and hold it over the area for no more then a second. This softens the glue a little and comes right off the paper very easily.
For the inside I stamped another cute sentiment and took some of the soccer balls that were left over and glued them down along the edge. I also layered a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock to break up all the Whisper White. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make today's card, I have listed them all down below for you. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope I have inspired you to try this really fun and beautiful technique. Come back on Friday where I will be having my CASE the Catalog Friday with a beautiful Fall/Autumn project inspired by the Annual catalog. Have a great day!!!
