From Our House to Yours Happy Halloween Card

Hey crafty people! Guess what today is.....My BIRTHDAY! That's right I turned the wonderful age of 49 today. My mind doesn't feel that old and my body feels like it's 79! Lol. This past year has been amazing too as last year on this day my younger son told me that I was going to be a grandma. And then 2 weeks later my older son told me the same thing! In April I got to witness the birth of my first grandchild, a grandson named Logan. Besides the birth of my own 2 boys this was the most special day of my life. Then in May grandson number 2 was born, and even though I couldn't be there (it was an emergency birth) the emotion that surrounds you is completely unbelievable. I wouldn't trade these moments for anything. Now that I'm crying, I think I better get on with my card.....

There is no denying that Halloween is my most fave holiday of the year. I own more Halloween decorations then all the other holidays combined! So I wanted to present this card to you today considering that it's my birthday. In fact I am hanging my Halloween wreath on the front door today as a present to myself. For my card I watercolored the background blending one color into the next.
A tip when stamping the houses and such is to stamp the house first then put the embossing powder on and then stamp the roof as it is very hard to see the Versamark ink and it may be a little off. And as another tip, if you don't do it perfectly take the Black Stampin' Write Marker and fill it is.....you can't tell the difference. I did use the stamp set Wonderfully Wicked for my sentiment and the bats inside.

I kept the inside very simple by just stamping the bats inn black in opposite corners. If you were inspired by this card and would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card I have them all listed below, just click on the item pics to be taken to my online store.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope you all have a great day!

Hugs,

Julie
