Butterfly Gala Thank You Card
Welcome crafty people! First off I want all the people involved with Hurricane Dorian to know we are thinking of you and hope you all stay safe. On to crafting.....do you know what went live today??? It's the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!!! That's right, you can now order all the amazing products you have been seeing me and other demos showing on our blogs, Facebook, YouTube, and such. I still want to make sure remember the amazing things in the Annual catalog so that is what I used to make today's card.....
I saw the idea of this card created by a fellow demo and fell in love with it, but she had used the Sale-A-Bration DSP to make it and so I decided to just create my own background and butterflies. I first started with stamping tone on tone with the Soft Sea Foam ink on the same color cardstock. I wanted it to look like the butterflies were flying across the card front.
I then stamped the butterfly pair I had decided to use...there are several in this stamp set to choose from. I wanted to stay in the Subtles Family for this card so I picked out the Calypso Coral Combo, So Saffron Combo, and Soft Sea Foam and Balmy Blue Dark Stampin' Blends to color the butterflies. I started with the darkest color and worked out for most of the body then used the other colors for the wing tips.
For the inside I just stamped a cute sentiment and some small butterflies in two of the corners. I would have to say that any of your family or friends would love to receive this beautiful thank you card. We can always use more thank you cards to send or hand out for the little things people do selflessly for us.
