Tasteful Touches In Good Taste Hello Card - CASE the Catalog Friday

   Hi everyone and welcome to my blog today!!! It's finally Friday and the weekend and that only means one thing here.....CASE the Catalog Friday!! What is a CASE you ask? Well, it's basically when a person Copies and Shares Everything. I want to show crafters out there that the Stampin' Up! catalogs are more then just a sales catalog, but also a major source of inspiration. Here is today's card.....

   I am so excited to get started in the new 2020-21 Annual catalog. Have you seen it yet? I can tell you my wish list is long, lol. When I first get the catalogs I start flipping through them seeing all the ideas and projects and place little flags on all the ones that stand out most to me. For this card, I fell in love with the contrast the most. Plus it's a pretty simple and easy card to make. I started with stamping the sentiment onto Vellum and die cutting it out once the ink was dry. Next, I embossed the Petal Pink background with the Tasteful Textile 3D folder and glued it to the card base.
   Then I die cut out all the little pieces from the In Good Taste DSP (Designer Series Paper) and I glued these to the card front except the top one of which I stapled the Vellum sentiment to then glued it down. I took some of the In Good Taste Elements and glued them around the front just like the original. Now you may notice that mine looks a little bigger and that is because the original was done on one of the Note Card bases. I like doing them full size so I just adapted it.

     For the inside I kept it pretty simple by just stamping the square stamp in opposite corners leaving plenty of room for a nice message to a friend. Here is my card.....      I was inspired to make this card from another card marker. I have always loved the Little Twinkle stamp set and knew that this was more then just for babies. By combining it with the Well Said Bundle I'm telling my loved one that our love was written in the stars.      I heat embossed the background first then watercolored it. Global Design Project #086-Sketch Challenge

     Hello again...how have you all been? I hope all you mothers out there are having a great Mother's Day today and enjoying a day all to yourself. My boys have both wished me a Happy Mother's Day today, and I will call my mom in just a little bit. I did make her a card along with my two sister-in-laws which I will post this week. I think they turned out pretty cute. I made a goal starting May 1st to send out a handmade card to all my family members for the various holidays and birthdays that happen in the year. I'm a little late with my Mother's Day cards but they are going in the mail tomorrow for sure.      Speaking of handmade cards, I have a new card for you to see today for the Global Design Project Challenge. It is also for one of my niece's birthdays. This week on GDP the challenge is a sketch. I'm not sure if I like sketches too much.
