Under My Umbrella Friend Card - Kylie's Training Blog Hop
Hey crafty people! How is your New Year going so far? We were in California on vacation visiting family as we do every year. Then the next day my husband ended up in hospital with an abscess in his face. He spent the next 4 days there as they drained it and pumped him full of antibiotics. We had to extend our vacation a few extra days. It has completely healed up now and he is doing so much better.
Each month I get the privilege of being able to participate in a fun blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demos from around the world to bring you some inspiration and motivation to get crafting. This month with the release of the new Mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogs I decided to use a new stamp/punch set. Here is my card.....
I really love this cute set and the punch makes it so easy to just stamp and punch out, no extra tools required. I decided to stamp on a piece of DSP (Designer Series Paper) to give my umbrella a patterned look. This is really easy to do to. Just stamp and punch!
I embossed the background layer using the Scripy embossing folder. I then layered some of the Organdy Striped Ribbon behind a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock that I die cut with the Stitched Nested dies. I wanted to go for a bright Spring look.
I heat embossed my sentiment on the front of the Daffodil Delight piece and placed the umbrella at an angle on the other side and added some fun rhinestones as my embellishment. And there you have a simple card with a touch of Spring and elegance.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope you continue on with the blog hop to see some amazing projects from around the globe. Have a great day!
