Painted Poppies Watercolored Sympathy Card

   Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? We just took it easy. I did some house chores but mainly worked on projects for this blog and other things. I am loving using the product from the new Stampin' Up! 2020 Mini catalog. The Poppies Suite has been one of the more popular too. Here is today's card.....

   I initially did this card for a creative challenge on a Facebook group I belong too and knew I wanted to share it with all of you. I started with doing a watercolor look with one of the stamps. I did stamp it onto a piece of the Watercolor paper, then used the Aqua Painter to fill it in. Tip: Let the flower dry first before watercoloring Pool Party on the background. This will keep the color from bleeding into each other as much.

   For the inside I kept it simple with just a poppy stamped in the bottom corner and my sympathy sentiment up top. Here is my card.....      I was inspired to make this card from another card marker. I have always loved the Little Twinkle stamp set and knew that this was more then just for babies. By combining it with the Well Said Bundle I'm telling my loved one that our love was written in the stars.      I heat embossed the background first then watercolored it.      Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great week so far. Today I have a special post for you...an Aim for Alaska new Stampin' Up! 2017-2018 Annual Catalog Sneak Peek Blog Hop!
