Bloom & Grow Thank You Card with Stampin' Blends

Welcome back crafty people! Where I live we are experiencing a little heat wave right now and at night when we would normally dip down into the low 60's right now we are barely getting out of the 70's so it is making it hard to sleep at night. My husband and I both like it cold to sleep and the last thing I want to do while sleeping is sweat. I hope this passes by fast but I think there is just another high pressure on it's way. Oh well. Lets get onto today's card.....

I can honestly say that the first time I saw the name of this stamp set I started singing the song "Edelweiss" from Sound of Music. I grew up loving this movie and know every song by heart so it didn't surprise me when the words just started coming out of my mouth. Do you do this too? Hear certain words or phrases and instantly think of a song? For this card I used my Stampin' Blends to color the flower piece.

I used the colors from the flowers to design the rest of my card. I used a piece of the Brights 6"x 6" DSP (Designer Series Paper) for the bottom. I love this paper as it comes in all the colors and there are 4 designs of each color! I embossed the Whisper White with the Lace 3D Embossing Folder and placed the whole piece on a Daffodil Delight layer. For embellishments I wrapped a piece of the Poppy Parade 1/2" Textured Weave ribbon around the layer and added some Basic Rhinestones around the front.

I kept it very simple on the inside, but still carried the theme in with stamping a few of the smaller stamps and coloring them with the Stampin' Blends too and adding my sentiment to the top. Imagine the look on someone you knows face when they open the envelope to this card. They will be shocked when they find out you made it by hand. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card I have them all listed below.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog post today and I hope I have inspired you to create something for the ones you call friends and family. I will be back on Thursday with another creation. Have a great day!
Hugs,

Julie
