Grandma's House Thank Goodness Card

Hello crafty people! Each month I get to present a stamp set on my team leader's page as part of her design team, and this month it was Grandma's House. I really love this stamp set as I just very recently became a grandma myself. I really wished my grandmother was still alive so I could send her all the cards I made. I will be showing all the designs I made over the next couple weeks. So let's get on with today's card.....

I wanted my card to be made with bright colors so I pulled out the Brights 6"x 6" DSP (Designer Series Paper) and chose the gingham in Poppy Parade. I knew I only wanted to stamp the flowers on the front and color them with the Stampin' Blends going with my Brights theme. Then I just die cut it out using the Stitched Nested Label Dies.

I knew I didn't want my sentiment off on the side so I came up with the idea of doing some heat embossing on vellum. I got out a big enough piece of the Vellum cardstock because I wanted to make sure I had room after I heat embossed for the die cut it too. I wrapped some ribbon around the layer then glued down the vellum piece making sure I only did it in places I knew were it was going to be covered to keep the adhesive from showing. I popped the flower piece up with Dimensionals.
To keep my inside simple I took the flower stamp and laid washi tape over the flowers I did not want ink on. Then after I ink the stamp I pulled the washi off and stamped the flower stamp on to my card. I colored it with the Blends just like on the front and added my sentiment at the top. What a perfect card to give to your grandma and I know she would love it too. If you would like to purchase any of the items I have showcased today they are all listed down below. Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope you come back on Thursday when I will have another project to share with you all. Have a great day!!!
