Memorable Mosaic Happy Wishes Card

Hello everyone and Happy Independence Day if you are in the USA! The town next to us has a huge rodeo and fireworks show on Saturday so not much will be happening today unless we go to the next town over which is about 30 mins away to watch some fireworks there. We haven't made up our mind yet if we are going. Do you have any plans for today???
I wanted to make something really simple today, because believe it or not simple is very hard for me to do. I looked through all my stamp sets and settled on this one. Here is my card.....

The DSP (Designer Series Paper) in this Suite is so amazingly beautiful and, though very hard to see in pics, one side of it has some raised clear embossing on it which shines. You do not need much more for your background then just the DSP. I simply added a sentiment, some ribbon, and embellies and you have a beautifully finished card any of your friends and family would love because you made it yourself.
As I said before simple card making is not my strong suit, I always feel like it needs more of something. For example, you could just as easily have left the vellum piece off and just stuck down the sentiment , but I wanted a little more to separate the background from this piece so I cut a piece of vellum with the Stitched Nested Label dies. It gives just a little more something.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the one stamp down the side, even though it's not perfect I still love it and it brings more color to the inside as well as the flowers in the corner. I didn't stamp another sentiment because I wanted to be able to use this card for any occasion that pops up. This is one way to make multiples of this card and keep the inside blank until the moment arrives that you need a card for something.
I really hope you enjoyed my card today and if you would like to purchase any of the items I used then just click on the pics below. Again if you are in the USA Happy 4th of July. Please be safe and make sure you lock your pets up during the fireworks shows as it can cause extreme anxiety and lots of animals are lost on this day. Thanks for coming to my blog and have a great day!
Hugs,

Julie
