A Farewell Tour of the 2017-2019 In Colors: Tranquil Tide Geared Up Garage Love Card
Welcome back crafty people! Do you find it hard to create a card for that special man in your life? Do the cards you make or see are often too "girly" and don't don't represent your special guy? Well today I'm continuing my Farewell Tour with the retiring In Color Tranquil Tide. Here is my card.....
Now at the time I made this card for my blog the 6"x 6" Classic Garage DSP (Designer Series Paper) wasn't sold out yet, but sadly now it is. But you could totally make your own pattern paper using the stamps in this set. I wanted to heat emboss the car to make it really stand out.
For the sentiment I first stamped it then die cut it out. Then I die cut the same die with Silver Foil paper . I replaced the center piece with the one I stamped. I used Dimensionals to hold the two pieces together. I used a piece of the carried over Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon for a little sparkle and one of the really cool metal keys from the Classic Garage Metal Elements, and these are carrying over too!
For the inside I just stamped the smoke and nuts stamp around the layer. I also wanted to have a little more color so I layered a piece of Crushed Curry behind my Whisper White layer. I didn't want to make this very fancy or overwhelming because it is for my husband and that's definitely not him.
