A Farewell Tour of the 2017-2019 In Colors: Tranquil Tide Oh So Eclectic Friend Card
Hi crafty people! It is officially Hump Day, half way through the work week! We are supposed to get rain for the next several days and colder temps. I was just enjoying the warmer days and then they are just ripped from me. Here where I live in Arizona we have had snow as late as Memorial Day weekend. They had to move the commencement ceremonies for both the Jr High and High School to the gym. Though this is really rare, every year we always get one last winter storm right before Summer starts.
Continuing with my Farewell Tour for the retiring In Colors I have another special card using this week's color Tranquil Tide. Here is my card.....
What is so special about this card though is I am combined the retiring Tranquil Tide with a brand new 2019-2021 In Color Rococo Rose. These colors look so beautiful together too. The softness of Rococo Rose with the darkness of Tranquil Tide is just amazing. Never be afraid to combine dark and light colors together. Stampin' Up! has perfected these colors and you can put fear aside because they are all going to go together seamlessly.
I decided to use the large diamond pattern die to cut out a window to allow the Whisper White cardstock to show through. I layered the flowers and leaves and even used one of the embossing dies to make a leaf impression on the card front. I added some sparkle by die cutting Silver Glimmer paper and tucked it in on top of the leaves. I put some Silver Metallic Thread behind my sentiment and scattered pearls around the card front.
I kept the inside simple as always and just stamped a border down one side and the leaf in the bottom corner. This carries the colors from the front to the inside. If you really love the color Tranquil Tide then don't hesitate getting the stamp pad, reinker, and cardstock as they are selling out quickly!
