A Farewell Tour of the 2017-2019 In Colors: Berry Burst Healing Hugs Floating Frame Card

Hi crafty people! Well, it's Monday again.....I feel like I blinked and the weekend was over. I did, after several months, finally get my ceiling fan up in my craft room. Which is perfect timing considering we hit 80° last Friday. I refuse to turn the home ac on until next month! The ceiling fan will help quite a bit by keeping the air circulating in my room. Plus the new light makes it much brighter in there too.
Last week I started a Farewell Tour for the retiring In Colors and kicked it off with Lemon Lime Twist. Well this week we are showcasing Berry Burst, and what better way then to do a fun new technique called the Floating Frame. Here is my card.....

You have probably seen this technique on YouTube and I plan on doing a Facebook Live on how I did mine. It looks a lot harder then it really is. For me the most time consuming parts were fussy cutting all the flowers and leaves and then putting all the Dimensionals on because you have to cut some up to fit right. You could use a stamp set that have dies to make it much easier, but I wanted to do this particular stamp set.

One thing that I have seen in all the videos is that use the of Press 'n Seal Cling wrap is always used. You pretty much need this because for one it is clear making it much easier to see how you are lining things up. It acts just like a low tack masking tape and hold all the pieces in place while you cut, position, and place the Dimensionals. You could probably do this just by cutting pieces, but this is much easier.

I let the technique do most of the talking but I did place a small border of Champagne Foil for a little shine. For the inside I kept it simple too with a sweet sentiment and some flowers on the bottom. Thank you so much for coming to my blog to check out my card and this really fun technique. I hope you have a great week and come back again for another project using the retiring In Color Berry Burst. Thanks!
Hugs,

Julie
