A Farewell Tour of the 2017-2019 In Colors: Lemon Lime Twist Butterfly Gala Card

Hello crafters! Wow has it been a busy couple of weeks. For the most wonderful news I'm now a grandma to the most perfect little grandson! After 13 hours of labor he finally came at 5:20pm on April 10th weighting 6lbs 15oz. It was so amazing to see him come into this world and this moment that we shared together when he opened his eyes and looked at me.

And to make things even more fun the very next day I left for Salt Lake City, Utah for OnStage!!! This is an event that Stampin' Up! holds twice a year for all demonstrators and it was a BLAST!!! I haven't been to Salt Lake since I was 7 yrs old (41 yrs ago!) so it was amazing to see it again.
At the event we were given the new 2019-2020 Annual catalog and OMG you are going to LOVE it! But because the new catalog is coming out that means that items are soon retiring from the current catalogs and one of those things in the 2017-2019 In Colors. So for the next 5 weeks I am going to be showcasing these colors with a Farewell Tour and this week it is the oh so popular color Lemon Lime Twist! Here's today's card.....

After the Butterfly Gala Bundle was on backorder for so long it is finally back and I was so excited to use it for this card. I love the punch and it's ability to punch both butterflies at the same time. I heat embossed my vellum with a mix of White Embossing powder and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. I use little tubs I got from the Dollar Store to mix these two together which makes it easier to emboss with. I also have another little tub with a mix of Clear Embossing powder and the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter too.

Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight are such a great pair and it just sings to me sunshine and happiness. With the addition of the Butterflies I see Spring has sprung. I embossed the Whisper White cardstock with the Subtle embossing folder because I wanted a little more texture in the background.
I completed my card by stamping the inside by pulling in the colors from the front. This really lets the recipient know they are extra special because you took a little time to make the card look professional for them. Thanks so much everyone for coming to my blog and I hope you don't let this special In Color slip through your fingers. Order it today! Have a great day.

Hugs,

Julie

If you may remember two years ago Sara (the CEO of Stampin' Up!) came out with a special Paper Pumpkin kit inspired by her that was absolutely AMAZING and sold out quickly! Well this year Shelli (co-founder of Stampin' Up!) is coming out with her own style of a Paper Pumpkin kit, but you need to sign up by May 10th! Also know that due to it's popularity it could sell out before that date so I would sign up TODAY so to not miss out. Paper Pumpkin is only $19.95 a month, including shipping, for an entire box of wonderfulness! You could cancel at any time but why would you?
