Monster Bash Suite Halloween Treat Boxes - CASE The Catalog Friday Holiday Edition

Welcome crafty people! It's Friday again and that means it is CASE the Catalog Friday, and it's a Holiday Catalog Edition. What is CASE you ask? Well in the crafting community it basically means to copy what you see exactly or change it up some and that is what I have done for you today. Here are today's projects.....

Pg. 52-54 of the Holiday Catalog
If you have followed me for awhile you know that Halloween is my fave holiday. Growing up my most favorite movies to watch were scary ones and the more scarier the better. In fact, the day I got my license I went to the movies that night to see the new Nightmare on Elm St movie by myself. I knew I wanted to do a few of the items on this page so I went through and picked out the ones I loved the most.
Each item is made as close to the original as possible, but I did make a few changes to take into account items I didn't own, like the box above. The original used some of the Shimmer Detailed Laser Cut DSP, which I didn't have so I used the Frosted Bouquet Dies instead. Also the large yellow tag was created by die cutting the large die from the Ornate Frames dies twice. I also used a piece of the Monster Bash DSP to make the belly band around the box.

For this one I simply used a sponge dauber and the Delicata Golden Glitz Metallic ink pad to paint the gold around the edge. I also wrapped the ribbon around the edge of the top using the Tombow glue. These Coffin Boxes are so cute and make amazing treat holders.

For this little treat box I used the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies and the Monster Bash DSP. This is just the perfect size for a small candy. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using the Ornate Frame Dies. This was the easiest of the three to make too.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope I have inspired you to look at the catalogs a little differently and to see their potential as an item filled with tons of crafty ideas. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used here today to make these projects, I have them all listed below for you. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store. Hope to see you Monday with a new project. Have a great weekend!

Hugs,

Julie
