Well Said Bundle Welcome Baby Card - GDP #178

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog today! I have been MIA for a few days, because I'm still cleaning and reorganizing my craft room and I'm so close to having it finally done. I will definitely post pictures when it is finally completed. Today I have a special card for you. I like to from time to time do the challenges over at Global Design Project and this week it was a sketch. I think these kind of challenges are great, especially if you ever get into a rut or have lost your creative mojo and just unsure what to do. They can get the creativeness flowing again. Here is my card.....

This is the sketch I followed.....
I first started with the watercolored background by softly blending each color into the next and set it aside to dry. I knew I wanted to make a baby boy card so I die cut the baby word using the Well Written Framelits and Blueberry Bushel cardstock. I then heat embossed it with the Clear Embossing powder. Please know that when you do this technique that the cardstock does deepen in color some.
I die cut the two circles and overlapped the white with the vellum. I stamped the sentiment I wanted and trimmed it down to frame the word. I die cut the floral branch that is also in the Well Written Framelits along with the two Whisper White flowers and applied those to the circles. When I applied the Silver Metallic thread I put Dimensionals on the item first then wined the thread around my fingers the desired amount of times and then put it onto the dimensionals, moving it around until I get the look I want. I placed my cluster in the lower right corner just like the sketch. I also placed some sequins around the card front for more sparkle.

I stamped the inside as well and also used the Beauty Abounds stamp set to make the ink bubbles at the bottom. I layered the piece of Whisper White onto a slightly larger piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock to add to my look. And there you have a beautiful welcome baby boy card that any expectant mother would love! Thanks for coming to my blog and I hope you come back again to see what my next project will be!
Hugs,

Julie
