Home To Roost Sale-A-Bration Card

Hello all you crafty people! I can not believe we are in March already.....where did January and February go??? Last Friday I got to purchase my plane tickets because next month I am going to OnStage!!! What is OnStage you ask? Well, it is like a super charged convention for Stampin' Up! demonstrators. Twice a year SU holds these fun events around the world and it is so much fun getting together with other team members and demonstrators. At this OnStage we are going to get to see the new 2019-2020 Annual catalog and learn what the new 2019-2021 In Colors are going to be. Plus all the demos that attend get to order select products from the new catalog first! The OnStage Local that I'm going to will be in Salt Lake City, Utah and I can't wait. If you want to learn more about OnStage or how you can become a demo contact me here. On to my project.....the card I'm sharing with you today is a stamp set from Sale-A-Bration set Home To Roost.....
After yesterdays very elegant, artsy card I want to show something more simple today. I love the rooster in this stamp set and knew I wanted to use my Blends on him. Roosters come in many colors all over the world and I wanted a pretty colorful rooster so I used 4 different colors on him. For his tail I just used the tip end of the Blend marker to draw the feathers in all the colors.
I wanted just the rooster to stand out so I just created a watermark stamp by stamping the Crushed Curry ink color onto the same color cardstock. I provides a background for the rooster without competing with it. I then took some of the Braided Linen trim and separated it into individual strings and looped them underneath the rooster. The Tin Tile embossed background gives the card some more texture and I'm so happy this embossing folder carried over from the Holiday catalog.
I stamped the inside like I always do carrying the same colors in with my stamping. And there you have a simple card, but with a little extra touch by coloring the rooster in some fun, bright colors. Any friend would love to receive this card and would definitely know how much you care for them because you made it yourself. Thanks for coming to my blog today and I hope you have a great day!
Hugs,

Julie
