Blow Out The Candles Card and Matching Embossing Paste Tag

Hey everyone! It's FRIDAY!!! I hope you all have some great plans for the weekend. I think I am just going to take it easy. When I first thought about making this is was just for the gift tag, but when I did the embossing paste I had a little extra so I put some on a piece of Whisper White cardstock and made a matching card to go with the tag.

It is really easy to color any of the Embossing Pastes, just add a drop or two of any reinker. Also, make sure you clean the masks and tools as soon as your done because it dries to concrete! I keep a bowl just a bit bigger then the masks with soapy hot water on my desk so I can put them in right when I'm done using them.

This is such a cute way to coordinate your card with your gift. The recipient is going to love it. I am also so in love with the 2018-2020 In-Colors Embossing Powders. It makes the Happy Birthday just shine and give it even more texture.

My fave Palette Knife to use with the Embossing Pasts is the largest one in the package. Try each one to see which is easiest for you. I also often use a piece of plastic packing or wax paper to mix if adding any color to it.

I also added a bit of the Clear Wink of Stella to the flames, though it is hard to see in the picture. I often don't worry about the messiness look of the paste when I mask it on and actually prefer this look...kind of haphazard.

Gift tags are a cool way to personalize a gift for someone special. It shows that you took the extra time to make them feel special. There is a die in the Framelits that cuts the top of the tag, and the ribbon fits in there perfectly! I stapled it on then tied a piece of Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine around it.

I finished that card off by stamping the inside as well. On cards that have a dark card base I always place a piece of Whisper White to make for easier stamping and writing. Have a great weekend everyone!

Here are the items I used to make both of these:
