Painted Harvest Meets New In-Colors Cards
Well I am back with another card this time using the stamp set "Painted Harvest" from the Stampin' Up! 2017 Holiday catalog that is continuing into the new 2018-2019 Annual catalog! This stamp was such a hit last year with it not only being used for Fall/Autumn cards but Christmas ones as well. It makes a beautiful poinsettia. For this card I decided to use a couple of the new colors Stampin' Up! has added to their line up. I also entered this card into the Global Design Project. This week's challenge...
I did this card in two different color families to show you the versatility this stamp set has. First, I did the flower in Flirty Flamingo and Lovely Lipstick. If you didn't know Lovely Lipstick is one of the new In-Colors and Flirty Flamingo was an In-Color that got promoted to a new core color. I also used our new Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut Specialty Paper. This stuff is amazing and comes with several different patterns that are so intricately cut. I was inspired to make this card from my Team Leader Robyn Cardon. She had done something similar and I loved the idea and ran with it. I also used Lemon-Lime Twist and new Granny Apple Green for the leaves on both cards.
For this card I used Pacific Point and the new In-Color Blueberry Bushel. These new In-Colors are so bright and beautiful.
Here is a close up of the red flower. On this card I used the Leaf Punch to give a 3D effect to the leaves.
I backed this flower with our vellum and wrapped some Linen Thread around it too. Each card got some of the Faceted Gems in clear added.
Here is where I used some of the Laser-cut Paper. I used 2 different strips to make a custom design. These are so beautiful and very easy to work with. They are also Very Vanilla color on the other side to match any type of card.
I stamped the same saying on each card and used the Layering Ovals and Stitched Shapes to die cut them out.
As always I stamped the inside of each card. With cards that have a dark base it is always advisable to place a piece of Whisper White on the inside to make stamping and writing a message easier.
Well there you have it. I have included all the items I used for these two cards in the list below just click on the item you want and it will take you to my shopping page. Have fun creating!
