1 Year Later Daisy Delight Card
Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great Memorial Day weekend so far. No plans here, just crafting all day in my craft room. Someday I will post pics or a video of it. Right now I am in the middle of a cleaning/reorganizing of my room. I put in a new desk earlier this year and it has taken me a bit to get things into new places. My desk is 39" x 7' with a little side piece so it takes up a bit of space. Well onto our project!
Last year I made this card for my mom for Mother's Day and it became one of my most popular posts (here is the post) so I thought that I would CASE (Copy and Share Everything) myself with the same elements but different colors. Here is the original card...
Now when I made the new card the Delightful Daisy DSP was not sold out, but due to it being retired it now is. I'm so sorry, but you could use any other DSP (Designer Series Paper) for the background. Also the Delicate White Doilies are gone too. Things are going fast on the Retired List! Here is the new card I created...
I switched up the colors this time using Calypso Coral as the main color. Now as you may of heard, Stampin' Up! has done a major revamp of their core colors with several old colors leaving and several new colors coming in and some old In-Colors returning. Now this is really exciting as it gives us the opportunity to bring new colors into our lives as styles influence. The color families have been reworked too. Also, all the stamp pads have been restyled and are much easier to open.
I used Calypso Coral as the daisy this time and added a different saying. The Glitter Enamel Dots, as of this posting, are still available on the Retired List. This daisy was punched with the Daisy Punch. The punch and stamp set are continuing into the new catalog but won't be available at the discounted 10% off bundle price so you better get it now before June 1st! Click HERE to purchase it!
I also redesigned the inside too. This time I put two flowers into two opposite corners with a new stamped saying in the middle. I really like how this one came out. I plan on CASEing it again after the new catalog is released. Have you CASE'D yourself before??? When you are out of ideas or have no motivation it is one of the best things to do to get you creating again! Pull out one of your fave creations and think of how you could use other products to recreate it. This is some of the best advice I have ever received when my creating came to a stop.
Stampin' Up! has decided to pre-release some of the products from the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog early! What does that mean for you??? You have the opportunity to purchase some amazing items before the catalog goes live on June 1st! PLUS with each bundle you purchase you will get something for free. AND with the Gotta Have It All Bundle you will receive a free stamp set that is not available anywhere else and WILL NOT BE in the new catalog. Here are the product lists. I have created two of them...one for current/non-retired items and the bottom one is all the available, as of this posting, retired items I used. Now the ink colors are not retiring, but the current case style is so that is why they are in the retired list. The new case styles won't be available until June 1st.
Here is the retired available items. Now I put the ink refills in because "Yes" they are retiring, but only because Stampin' Up! has come out with a new formula that has an "anti-bubble" agent added. Now from my experience I have never had this problem. The old and new pads and refills colors are identical to each other. We have learned that you can use the new ink refills on the old ink pads so don't think you need to go out and buy all new pads and refills. I'm not going to until both are dried up. That is just a waste of money and product and I rather use my money on new product from the new catalog...unless you happen to have a Money Tree in your backyard then go right ahead! Lol.
Also all links to my store are for USA residents only. Sorry, but per Stampin' Up! policies I am unable to do business outside the USA. If you need help finding an Independent Demonstrator in your country just ask me. I have some great friends around the world!
Hugs,
Julie
