Hippo Happiness Fun Birthday Card

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog!!! Our heat wave is cooling down a bit for us which is nice. Our monsoons are starting to form too which will be really great when it finally rains. Is it hot where you live? How has your weather been? Today I have a fun punny birthday card for you. Let's get to it.....

I have been loving playing with this bundle. The animals are so cute, I will admit I'm partial to the unicorn/horse. Today I decided to use the adorable hippo with the cute birthday sentiment. I started with stamping the hippo in Smoky Skate then stamping over it with Basic Gray. I also stamped the bow and die cut everything out. I glue the bow to the hippo's ear.

Next, I die cut the banner. I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment because I wanted to split it into two lines so I inked up one side and stamped it then the other. I placed my hippo next to the sentiment with Dimensionals. I cut a piece of the Flowers for Every Season DSP (Designer Series Paper) and tied a piece of ribbon around it and then glued it to my Daffodil Delight card base. I placed the banner on top and added some rhinestones.

For the inside I kept it pretty simple by just stamping a couple of the balloons and some sparkles. If you would like to purchase any of the items I used to make this card, I have listed them all down below. Just click on any of the pics to be taken to my online store.
Thank you so much for coming to my blog today and I hope I have inspired you to try something crafty today! Have a great day.
Hugs,

Julie
