Dashing Deer Card

Hello.....how are you all doing? Tomorrow I go to Flagstaff for my post-surgery check up. I'm healing really good and very happy the daily migraines are gone. I had an x-ray yesterday and it was kind of cool to see the metal plate that is my neck for the first time. Today for you I have a Christmas card I made using the new Dashing Deer Bundle and the limited time DSP (Designer Series Paper) Dashing Along. You only have until Sept 30th to get this paper. All you need to do is have a party or order totaling at least $250. Here is my card.....

This card was so much fun to make. I kind of went off a card I made two years age that I happen to come across a few days ago. It is always recommended that if you get into a creative hole the best way to get your mojo back is to copy yourself.

I wanted to use a doily behind my deer so I decided to turn one of the Colored Doilies around and use the white back side. A tip.....you can sponge any color onto the white side of these doilies and make them any color you need for your projects. I die cut some of the leaves from the Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits in the Gold Glimmer paper to add some sparkle.

I also colored and die cut some of the holly leaves from the same bundle to add some background for my deer. Also I used my Stamparatus to make my own sentiment. It really helps with getting the stamps centered where you want them.

I also stamped the inside with a few more of the leaves and another sentiment. You should always line the inside of darker based cards with white or a lighter color to make it easier to write your message in. Thank for taking a look.

Hugs,

Julie

Here is what I used...
