Country Home Card

     Hi everyone! How is your weekend going so far? I'm still taking it easy since my neck surgery on the 7th, but still continuing to improve and heal. The pain is getting better each day, though I recommend never sneezing after having neck surgery...quite painful, lol. Today for you I have something from the new Holiday catalog! This stamp set has been so popular because of the endless coloring options and the mix-n-matching you can do with the cans and flowers. Here is my card...


     When using the Stampin' Blends you need to use the Tuxedo Black Memento so that the black don't bleed. I used colors of Fall to color the flowers. Also, another very popular item from the Holiday catalog has been these Chicken Wire Elements. One side is silver colored and the other is white so you can easily color them any color. And you can cut them apart so if you don't want to use a whole sheet on something you have that option.

     I stamped the inside as well. Mimicking the tile embossing on the outside I stamped the tile stamp on the four corners. Then a beautiful sentiment in the upper middle. Because this stamp set is photopolymer it makes it really easy to line everything up.

Cupcake Card

     Here is the latest project I did for National Scrapbooking Day. I wanted something to celebrate the day but also something bright and cheerful. I think this card fits the bill just perfect.      I started with cutting a piece of Melon Mambo in half then folded the card in half for my card base. I then cut a piece of Daffodil Delight to 3-3/4" x 5" and a piece of Whisper White to 3-1/2" x 4-3/4". I glued the Whisper White onto the Daffodil Delight. I stamped the Celebrate You onto the layered Whisper White. I then got started on the cupcakes. First, I stamped all the  components of the cupcakes onto a piece of Whisper White. Next, I used the Cupcake Builder punch and punched out all the pieces. I then used some Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the cupcake pieces. Yet Another Butterfly Card

Welcome, welcome to my blog. I hope you are having a great day to far. Today, I have another butterfly card for you using the Butterfly Basics stamp set from Stampin' Up! and the Butterflies Thinlits that I used on my Big Shot to cut out. I first used a piece of So Saffron and cut it in half to make the card base. I then cut a piece of Calypso Coral to 5-1/4" x 4" and a piece of Whisper White to 5" x 3-3/4". I first stamped the leaves from the stamp set in Pear Pizzazz on the piece of Whisper White. Next, I stamped the honeycomb in So Saffron in the upper left corner and the date stamp in early Espresso on top. Then I stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral in the lower right corner under the leaves. Now onto the butterflies. I stamped the twp smaller butterflies onto a piece of Whisper White. I then punched the smallest butterfly out. Next, I used my Big Shot to cut out the large butterfly in both Lost Lagoon and Vellum. Then I adhered the layers together and...

Watercolored Sorry Card - Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights Challenge

     Hello everyone! Today I have another special blog post for you. Kylie Bertucci, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Australia, has invited demonstrators from around the world to take part in a fun international highlight blog. And here is my card! The theme this month was "Sorry" so I thought of the Ribbon for Courage stamp set. Patty Bennett created this stamp when she reached $1 million in sales and it is honor of her mother who she lost to cancer.      I started with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textures Impression Folder and used Watercolor paper. I used the Aqua Painters to put the ink exactly where I wanted it. When I was finished watercoloring I then watered down a couple drops of the Shimmer Paint in Frost White and painted it over the areas where I had watercolored.      I stamped my sentiment and then layered it and placed it onto the card over some of the Nature's Twine in Grapefruit Grove.
