Meant To Be Card and Fun Painting Technique

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I spent it completely working on crafts in my craft room. I did do a little of cleaning in there too, but not much. I wanted to work on my posts for this week along with some Valentine's Day cards I am doing for a class. Did you do anything fun and exciting? Speaking of Valentine's Day that is what my card today is about.

I have used this painting technique before on another card here on my blog and it is very simple to do. It just uses the Frost White Shimmer paint, the Flirty Flamingo ink refill, and a piece of the Watercolor paper. You drop 4 drops of the paint down one side of the paper and then put a drop of the reinker onto 2 of the drops. Then take an old credit card and swipe it across until you get the look you like.

For the sentiment I heat embossed onto the heart using my Stamparatus to get it straight. I layered it onto of a square that I die cut and embossed. I also layered some of the Butterfly Elements that you can get for free right now with a qualifying order of $50 or more before tax and shipping. I then die cut the flower Thinlit out of a spare piece of the same background paper.

I love the layered look which is why I have a lot here, but each item is a contrast to the one below it to make each item stand out. I added some of the Silver Metallic Thread to give a little sparkle along with the Basic Rhinestones.

I used my Stamparatus again to stamp the inside to line the flowers along the bottom, then I just stamped a sentiment in the middle towards the top. Thanks so much for coming to my blog and be sure to check back tomorrow as I will have a very simple card that I have done that anyone can do.
Hugs,

Julie
