Peaceful Poinsettia Christmas Card - GDP Sketch Challenge #158

Hello everyone. I had Friday's post go a little early because I wanted to get this card posted on the GDP blog. This week they had a sketch challenge and I really wanted to try it and this is what I came up with.

I will admit it took a little bit of time to place all the little pieces into each of the die cuts. I started with die cutting each color I needed then I would punch a few out at a time so I didn't misplace any.

Here is what the sketched looked like.

I really wanted the Copper Glimmer to stand out on this card and it die cuts so beautifully. And the Cherry Cobbler and Tranquil Tide contrast against it so well.

I wanted to keep with the copper so I heat embossed the sentiment with the Copper Stampin' Up! Emboss Powder. This stuff is so amazing and so fun to watch heat up. I also used the Triple Banner punch to cut the end.

I stamped the inside as usual to bring the front of the card to the inside. I didn't do anything fancy as I want the outside to shine. Any friend or family member would be very happy to get this for Christmas. Thanks for looking!

Hugs,

Julie
