This Little Piggy Card
Hello everyone! First off I want to say sorry for being gone for the last two weeks. Since my state has passed a new opioid law I am learning how to function in everyday life with less pain meds. And to make life even more fun, because of this huge drop my neck has been hurting more so my pain Dr ordered an x-ray. The results aren't good...I suffer from something called Kyphosis, an abnormal curvature of the cervical vertebrae. Because of the Degenerative Disc Disease all my discs are thinning resulting in the vertebrae rubbing against each other and this is happening in my neck. But I am not letting this get me down! This may require me to have another surgery before I wanted to have one, but I will bounce back like I always do. I hate being confined to a bed and I won't let it happen now! So on to today's card...
Believe it or not it has taken me a whole year to get this stamp set! I first saw it last year at OnStage Local in San Diego and totally intended to get it but I kept putting it off...well not anymore! I specifically picked out this piggy and saying for a special friend of mine who has helped me so much this month get through a lot. She doesn't know yet I am sending it to her, but she is so going to love it! I used the Aqua Painters to paint the pig which is so fun to do.
I used some of the new Gold Glimmer paper and IT IS AMAZING!!!! Even after cutting it, it did NOT cover my desk in little gold sparkles. My Team Leader did a demo where she took a piece and placed it against her chest and dragged it down, and even though she was wearing black there wasn't a single piece of the Silver Glimmer paper on her. This is the best sparkly paper I have used...EVER! You can get some HERE.
The minute I saw this sentiment in the new catalog I knew I needed to get it and use it for my friend. I decided to back a smaller piece of Whisper White onto a piece of Lemon-Lime Twist to give it a little more color on the inside. Then I stamped the little hove prints across the upper and bottom corners. I plan to have this in the mail in the next couple of days.
